What's Stacktris?

Stacktris is a game that combines Tetris and tower stacking. Your task is to stack familiar tetrominoes on top of each other, balancing the blocks to form the tallest tower.

The Core Difference of Stacktris Game

Unlike traditional Tetris, Stacktris offers three parallel challenges:

  • Control the rotation speed gradually.
  • Ensure the tower's center of gravity is always stable.
  • Optimize the position of each block in the virtual 3D space.

The Golden Rule When Stacking Towers

The 30-70 Rule

This is the rule of gravity balance. Place 30% of the blocks on one side and the balance, 70%, on the opposite side. When the tower begins to tilt, apply the balance.

The "Center Core" Method

Prioritize placing I and O blocks in the middle. L-shaped blocks create 1.8 times more torque than square blocks, so use T- and L-shaped blocks to adjust the balance. Stop the block at a 45-degree angle to create a fulcrum for the next block.

The blocks have different rotation speeds. Over time, the higher the tower, the faster the blocks rotate, and the easier it is to lose balance. If just 1 block falls off the platform, the game will end. So, for each floor of the tower, you need to focus on a different task

  • Stage 1-10 floors: Focus on accuracy
  • Stage 11-25 floors: Accept small errors
  • Over 25 floors: Prioritize reaction speed

Advanced techniques

  • Prioritize placing the new block in the tower's center to evenly distribute the force.
  • Skip picking up coins if the position is dangerous.
  • Using rotation, you can stop the block at an angle to match the unbalanced tower.

Stacktris is a miniature physics laboratory where every decision can be measured by the tilt of the tower. Just one eccentric block can cause the tower to tilt, or a block falling from a height can easily bounce off. Master the knowledge of gravity and bounce to distribute the force evenly to help your tower be as tall as possible.
